Introduction

     Online education is usually advertised as a way to learn at your own pace and earn your degree without missing out on the important things in life. Most students who take online courses will tell you that is false advertisement. In 2016, more than 6.3 million students enrolled online and the success rate was horrible. Research shows that students who take an online course are 10 to 20 times more likely to drop out or fail the course. Some students are capable of getting the information on their own and other students are not that independent. Many online students have stated that once they fall behind it's easier to drop out or fail. Students have also stated that when they have trouble navigating through the instructor's course page that it discourages them from completing the work. I can personally back this statement up as I have experienced the same discouragement and frustration. Student failure rates are higher with online education, because there are improvements that need to be made to increase student engagement and success rates.

The Oldest Sport!

                 There is much room for debate about what sport is the oldest. Wrestling is most commonly known as the oldest sport, however so is running. Both sports come in a variety of styles and are still common in modern day sports. Evidence for both wrestling and running being among the oldest sports have been found in cave paintings in Lascaux, France. These paintings on the walls date back to almost 15,300 years ago, therefore it is hard to pinpoint exactly when running and wrestling developed as sports.               Running is the most accessible sport because it requires no equipment. This is also a reason that some believe running to be the first sport. A foot race was the first ever event to take place in the first ever Olympics in 776 BCE. Differences in Graduation Rates

         I personally was never one to care about the success rate of a school, because I knew that the amount of success I would achieve individually would be exceptional. The article points out more of the flaws in how colleges are collecting data rates, however I feel the article did not get to the true reason for graduation rate differences. I hear the phrase “School is not for everyone,” so often, and it was not until I graduated from high school that I realized this to be true. Growing up, school was an easy task for me, even though I did not like it. I believe that the key to being successful in school is to be able to understand and memorize information.
